The dream of Arya Nandy on the KSRTC bus management finally set out on the road thanks to her inspiration – her late father Promna Kumar, seasoned KSRTC drivers. It has done the history of species by becoming the first woman to ensure a heavy vehicle license from Ksrtc Driving School in Ponnani.
With gratitude Mrs. Nanda attributes KSRTC to the opening of the school to women and pavements the way for a new generation of female drivers. “When I saw my father Drive introduced myself that I was proud to sit behind the wheel on the Ksrtc bus,” she recalled.

After a month of training, including the theory classes, she received a license for heavy vehicles. She said the KSRTC school was much better than a private driving school. Mrs. Nanda emphasized her advantages and noted that the program combines theory and practical session for an available fee.
KSRTC traction schools launched throughout the state quickly gained public confidence and became profitable. According to KB Minister Ganesh Kumar, the company received a profit of 27.86 ₹ Lakh within a few months.
In addition to Ponnani, KSRTC offers training in its regional seminar in Kandanakam and Nilambur Depot in the district. In Ponnani, training is available for heavy vehicles and four -wheelers and two -round training will start soon.
