After seven years of Hiatus, Kozhikode has been hosting the regional international film festival Kerala (RIFFK) since Friday (August 8, 2025).
The highly anticipated four -day event will begin on August 8th and ends on August 11, skewers in Kairali, Sree and Coronation Cinemas.
The Cinefil responded enthusiastically, with more than 1,400 delegates registration that caused organizers to close online registration. However, the SPOT registration will continue in Kairali, where delegate passages will be distributed from 11:00 to August 7. The exhibition of photography, which will be honored by the late writer and winner of the Jnanith Mt Vasudevan Nair and his film journey will be ceremonially launched in the same place.
While the screening will start from 8 August in the morning, the official inauguration will take place at 17:00 that the festival will present 58 films from around the world, including 14 titles from the International Film Festival of the Keral (IFFK).
The main points include Brazilian Mala, IFFK Golden Crow Pheanent Award, and Iran Me, Maryam, Children and 26 others from Farshad Hashemi, Silver Crow’s winner for the best director. The line -up also includes Muhammed’s Malaysian film Feminichi Fathima, IFK Award for Jury Award.
Other remarkable screenings include underground: Orange (Chile), memories of the burning body (Costa Rica), Linda (Argentina), Human (Spain), Lok (Turkey), east of noon (Egypt) and oscillating shadow (Chile). Indian items are listed by Appuram (Malayalam) by Indu Lakshmi, Points (Hindi) and Rytmus Dammam (Kondani) Jayan Cherian.
58 Festival films are divided into World Cinema (14), Indian Cinema (7) and Malayalam Cinema (11). The Kaleidoscope section contains Malaysalam and Assam films, while the favorites with the view of women and the festival will present three and five films. The veteran actress Shabana Azmi’s film Ankur is also screened.
