Strong rain and subsequent lightning floods in the rivers created panic and fear of landslides in mountain areas Kozhikode. The district was on Tuesday 5th August under the orange warning and it is still on Wednesday 6 August). The continuous heavy rain, however, threw the area of the upper afternoon, especially in Kavilumpar, Marutonkar and Vanimal.
In Kammay and Narippar, lightning floods appeared after the Vanimal river overflowed its shores. The water level of water also increased in the Iruvazhinji River. Stone water flowing through the Vanimal River caused suspicion of landslide in the forest.

Meanwhile, the young man who fell into the Vanimal River in Narippatta had a miraculous escape from drowning after the local people helped him ashore. At the same time, the search is still for a boy who fell into Pathankayam on Sunday 3rd August.
On the coast of Kozhikode, the rain was continuous but mild. Although the sea remains turbulent, no undesirable incidents have been reported.
