England dough Harry Brook feels that the player of the series of the recent five match test series between England and India did not deserve. The right -hand dough said Joe Root deserved it more for a consistent score throughout the series.
Brook was the fifth highest scorer of the series with 481 Runs Out of five matches (nine shifts) on average 53.44 with two hundred and so many fifties. On the other hand, Root was the second highest scorer with 537 runs from nine shifts on average 67.12 with three hundred and once fifty.
Despite scoring less runs than root, Brook was selected as a player of the series by the head coach of India Gautam Gambhir, which let him surprise.
“I didn’t have as much run as root (Joe Root), so I probably think it should be a man of a series or a man from the summer. He has been for many years,” Brook said BBC Sport.
In addition, Brook revealed his thought process before release in the fifth test and said he was trying to take this deficit by scoring some fast runs. He also rejected the fact that he could not finish the game.
“I was very confident at the time. If I got fast 30 in the next few breaks, then the game is done. It was my thought process. I always tried to take the game and evoke them under pressure, I wish I was there in the end. I played fine.
Brook was released on a well -made 111 (98) leaving England on 301/4It requires another 73 other runs to win the fifth test and lead a series of 3-1. After his release, however, the English bats collapsed and they were associated with 367 when India won the match of six runs and equalized the 2-2 series.
Meanwhile, after another fertile season at home, Brook will first face the harder terrain of Australia in his career in Ashes at the end of this year in November. He will be eager to continue his golden run and help England end their 14 -year -old drought for victory in the country.
