According to one of his lawyers Sean “Diddy” Combs addressed President Donald Trump. In an exclusive interview with CNN on Tuesday, Nicole Westmoreland, a member of the Combs’ Legal Defense team, confirmed that Trump’s administration had been a discussion.
“It is understandable that we have reached and conducted interviews with reference to mercy,” Westmoreland said.
However, Trump indicated that it was unlikely to grant the mercy to 55 -year -old ridges.
“I was very friendly with him. I went out with him and he looked like a nice guy,” Trump said in an interview with Newsmax. “I didn’t know him well, but when I ran to the office, he was very hostile.”
Asked if it means that he wasn’t inclined to forgive the ridges, Trump said, “I would say, yeah.”
In June, the jury found Combs guilty of two federal accusations related to the transport of someone for prostitution. However, it was cleaned of more serious accusations, including blackmail conspiracy and sex trading. He could now face up to 20 years in prison and convicted at 3 October.
The prosecutors have not yet revealed what sentence they will require, but previously stated that it could be “significantly higher” than a minimum range of 51 to 63 months.
Westmoreland said that Combs remains positive and says CNN that the rapper “is a very promising person and I believe he remains hopeful” regarding the chance of accepting grace.
