
After an epic drawn series against India, England Captain Ben Stokes said he wanted to get to Australia to play ashes later in the year. Stokes was one of the English standout players during the series against India, which ended 2-2 after the visitors won the oval test on Monday 4th August.
Stokes scored 304 runs and raised 17 goals in the four tests he played because he had to sit out of the last due to injury. After the match at a press conferenceEngland Skipper appreciated his team for pushing the game near India, despite the injury of Chris Woakes.
Stokes said that the team of the team that the team during the series gives him confidence in the Ashes series.
“When one of your pitchers drops so early in the game, the roles of other sailors will change,” Stokes said.
“Even in the second shifts, the heart and the desire that showed it was amazing. There have been many in the last five days in the last five days, but everything (coach) Brendon (McCullum) and I asked him to give him everything.
“The way we were able to perform throughout the series is looking forward to getting to Australia and doing what we want to go there and do.”
The Ashes series is ready to start in November.
Stokes pays tribute woakes
One of the greatest moments in day 5 was seen Chris Woakes comes to the bat with the left hand still in the sling. Stokes paid tribute to Pacer and told them that they almost paid off their attitude.
“The never -woven, never back the attitude we installed in the group has almost paid off. It was never a question for him to go there. He was in many discomfort and among the goals.”
“But we had Rishabh Pant to go to the bat with a broken leg, we had shaib bashir bowling, launching and a broken finger field, and then we had Chris and tried to get his team through the line with a recently switched off.”
Stokes said that before Woakes came out, he talked to him where the pitch said he would do nothing but to have a bat,
“Before he went out, I didn’t get a chance to put him knocking on his back and say,” Go well. “Departure is obvious what would be said, only:” Great effort, incredible. ” He just shrugged and said, “I wouldn’t do anything else,” Stokes said.
England lost an oval test of 6 runs.
