Main Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recommended officials of the excise tax department not to look at the new liqueur policy (NLP), which is to be in force on September, only from the point of view of income generation, but also in mind the importance of public health protection.
Chandrababu Naidu, who reviewed the functioning of the excise tax on the Secretariat in Amaravati on Monday, said that the consumption of non -standard quality liqueur during the YSRC (YSRCP) Congress caused the death of a large number of people and destroyed their families.
He noted that since the implementation of NLP was around the corner, the consumer department should take the necessary steps and at the same time realize the fact that the government could not afford to earn money for public health costs. The Cabinet Substitute recommendations must be strictly followed.

To date, it has 840 bars and as part of a new policy, the lottery licenses would be issued through a lottery system subject to the payout of annual license fees on the basis of the population (£ 35 lakh for areas with a population below 50 000, 55 Lakh for cities under five Lakh and 75 Lakh per cities).
The main minister ordered 10% of the lawyer licenses to be assigned to disadvantaged castes, as is done in the case of alcohol trades.
Officials told the main minister that there was an increase in the sale of spirits in areas bordering neighboring countries due to a decrease in prices, availability of brands and quality alcohol in AP was the opposite during the YSRCC, when liqueur smuggled from other countries.
The officials said 12 districts were declared full “alcohol ID” and eight other districts will follow a month.
Minister Ravindra (excise duty and mining) and Condapall Srinivas (MSME & SERP) and higher officials were present.
