Up to 911 houses were damaged by natural calamities in Dakshina Kannada during the last two and a half months, according to the District Office for the Adast Management.
According to data provided by the Office on Wednesday, 829 houses were partially damaged and 82 houses were fully damaged from 1 April to 18 June. 126 houses have been damaged in June. Up to 705 houses were partially damaged and 80 houses were fully damaged in April and May.
According to the Indian meteorological department, the southwestern monsoon above the Coast Karnataka and parts of the inner South Karnataka followed Keraly 24 May, a week before its normal onset.
At the meeting chairman Dinesh Gunda Rao, Minister responsible for Dakshin Kannada, on Wednesday in the office of the Commissioner’s deputy on Wednesday, the deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan said that gardening crops at 5,384 hectares and agricultural crops were caused by hectares.
The Minister called the meeting to review the damages on real estate due to natural calamities.
A case that needs to be booked
At the meeting, the Minister ordered Belthangady officials to file a case against two people from Savanal as part of Kudremukh Wildlife Range to drive their two -rounded river, ignore warnings and risk their lives.
When the official informed that they both tried to cross the road where the river was overflowing, Mr. Rao said that such violators need to be reserved. “We have to send a strong message,” Mr. Rao said. The Commissioner’s representative stated that the case would be reserved against them.
Muhilan was angry at the fact that the Bantwal city community adopted a resolution that allowed all vehicles to move on the old steel bridge of Panmanmangalur via Netrajravathi, although the district administration was banned until the department concerned submitted a report on its stability and safety.
Mr. Rao said that the municipalities wrote to him and searched for permission to allow all vehicles on the bridge. Mr. Muhilan said that the movement of heavy vehicles was banned on the bridge by placing a barrier. However, the main vehicles began from the last month.
The Minister then ordered that the ban on the movement of heavy vehicles continued until the district administration receives a report on the stability of the bridge.
