The Karur District and Sessions Court on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to nine accused for allegedly murdering seven persons by hurling petrol bombs at their vehicle while they were returning to Madurai after attending the Thevar Guru puja in 2012.
The attack was carried out within the limits of Avaniyapuram police station in Madurai when a group of persons were returning from attending a Thevar Guru puja in Ramanathapuram district on the night of October 30, 2012.
