The heavy rain that lashed Bengaluru on Wednesday night claimed nine lives in three separate incidents.
Seven people were killed and seven others injured after part of the wall of the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital collapsed during heavy rain in the city’s Shivajinagar area on Wednesday. The victims were said to be roadside vendors and customers who were near the wall at the time of the incident. Authorities said nearly 30 people were on the scene at the time of the collapse.
