9 dead in AC bus fire on Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida area

In a tragic incident, at least nine people were killed and many others injured after a sleeper tourist bus caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida. According to initial reports, a double-decker bus carrying over 30 passengers caught fire on the Yamuna Expressway while traveling from Noida to Mahoba.

Rescue and rescue operations are underway, police said. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

“I was sleeping when someone woke me up that the bus was on fire and we all tried to get out. It was not easy to escape; there was a lot of smoke. We somehow managed to get out. The bus was full of passengers,” said ANI, a passenger on board the ill-fated bus.
