85% of enumeration forms distributed statewide, city trails

Districts forming part of the state capital are lagging behind in the distribution of enumeration forms for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls process.

The distribution, which formally began on June 25, entered its 10th day on Saturday. Almost all districts except Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri crossed the 90% mark in form distribution. In Hyderabad the distribution is close to 63% while in Rangareddy it is almost 74%. Medchal Malkajgiri recorded the lowest distribution of 56%. Mancherial with 86% and Sangareddy with 89% are the only two districts that recorded less than 90%. Wanaparthy district leads the state with 99.56% distribution, followed by Nalgonda with 99.09%. Overall, 85% distribution of forms has been completed in the state, informed the office of the Chief Electoral Officer.

Filled forms were returned by 14.36 lakh voters and their digitization reached 4.25%.
