The MLA for Mandy P. Ravikumar said on Tuesday that the district has noticed a noticeable economic and social transformation over the last two years.
Mr. Ravikumar said in the academic year 2024–25 that about 3,000 to 4,000 unemployed youth had reported 90% or more in the Felicitation program for students from the Mandya election district who recorded 90% and higher.
On this occasion, about 700 students were felicitated. He pointed out that Mandy’s position of SSLC grew from 19 last year to 11 this year. Previously, people had to travel to Bengalur or Mysur for basic needs, but Mandya now offers everything locally. He spoke about which was published by a local facility about the progress of the district in the areas of education, employment and infrastructure and interest of entrepreneurs. He called on students to focus on building deeper knowledge to excel in competing examinations. Representative of Commissioner Kumar emphasized the importance of maintaining success and encouraged students to focus on perfection during their academic journey. The superintendent of the police Mallikarjun Baladandi raised concerns about the growing number of children’s marriages in the district and urged parents to prefer girls’ education and resist social pressure.
Nirmalanandananatha Swami of Adichunchanagiri compared children with seedlings and emphasized the need to raise them with strong values, discipline and character from an early age.
Purushottamanandanatha Swami of Adichunchanagiri Math (Kommerahalli), Chairman of the Office for the Development of the Municipal Cities of Nayeem, Vice -Chairman of the Board of Board and President of the Association Shivarame Nagesh, and others were present.
