
Seven people died after the helicopter traveled from Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi when he disappeared on Sunday in Gaurikund, Uttarakhand, the official said.

The incident was reported about eight days after the helicopter bearing five devotees on the way to Kedarnath Dham performed an emergency landing on the national highway near Bharas in the RudraPrayag district in Uttarakhand.

According to officials, Chopper – AW119 operated by Kestrel Aviation Private Limited – a sudden technical error during take -off, led the pilot to make a hard but controlled landing on a nearby road.
“All five passengers on board were evacuated safely without injury. However, the pilot suffered minor back injuries during a hard landing and was transferred to a nearby hospital for medical assistance in his statement,” he said in his statement (DGCA).
