The Telangana Food Safety Department seized milk and ghee worth ₹7.78 lakh in Hyderabad during a special enforcement drive conducted on April 16 targeting unauthorized dairy operations and violations.
According to a statement issued by the ministry on Monday, April 20, inspections revealed wide availability of unbranded and bulk milk and ghee in several districts, raising concerns about traceability and quality control. Officials also found that a number of milk centers were operating without valid registration certificates, pointing to lapses in compliance with food safety norms.
