A total of 69,343 cases, 7,577 pending and 61,766 pre-trial cases were resolved during the National District Lok Adalat in Yadgir district on Saturday.
Chief District and Sessions Judge HJ Marulasiddaradhya said in a report that 103 pending cases and 244 pre-trial cases came before his court and all were settled amicably.
Up to 24 cases were resolved before the I. Additional District and Sessions Court and the II. by the Additional District and Sessions Court (sitting at Shorapur).
In Yadgir, a total of 353 cases were disposed of before the Chief Civil Judge, 692 cases before the Chief Civil Court and JMFC and 716 cases before the Additional Civil Judge and JMFC.
In Shahapur, a total of 509 cases were disposed of before the Civil Judge, 1,958 cases were disposed of before the Chief Civil Judge and JMFC and 1,174 cases were disposed of before the Additional Civil Judge and JMFC.
In Shorapur, a total of 370 cases were disposed of before the Civil Judge, 1,012 cases before the Chief Civil Judge and JMFC and 666 cases before the Additional Civil Judge and JMFC.
Among the cases resolved were two money recovery actions, 27 partition actions, five specific enforcement actions, one final decree action, 20 check cases, 16 execution motions, 36 motor vehicle accident cases, seven maintenance cases, two domestic violence cases, 4,942 birth and death motions, 10 composite cases, 2,337 other petty crimes, and 1 16 cases.
As many as 10 benches have been set up in all courts across the district to hear cases with the consent of both parties and in the presence of advocates representing them, Mr. Marulasiddaradhya said.
Member-Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority and Civil Judge Mariyappa, advocates, court staff and also the litigating public were present.
