Candidates who received appointment orders at Rozgar Mela in Vijayawada on Friday.
As many as 69 candidates shortlisted for various central government departments received their appointment orders at the Rozgar Mela held at the Railway Auditorium in Vijayawada on Friday.
Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma, Andhra Pradesh Postmaster General BP Sridevi, Vijayawada Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infrastructure) PE Edwin, Postmaster General (Vijayawada Region) DSVR Murthy and other officials.
Out of the total number of candidates, 45 were selected in Indian Railways, 13 in Ministry of Posts, four in Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), three in Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), two in Airports Authority of India (AAI) and one each in Ministry of Financial Services and Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over appointment orders to around 51,000 candidates shortlisted for various central government departments at 40 locations in the country and interacted virtually with some of the newly appointed officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma said that the Central Government has provided employment to nearly 10 lakh youth through 17 editions of Rozgar Mela. He said the government is also facilitating employment in the large private sector through initiatives like Make in India in line with the vision of achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047.
