629 AEE slots in AP power supply; SPDCL applications open from June 30

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has approved the recruitment of 629 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) across its power companies, AP-Genco (100), AP-Transco (200) and three DISCOMs (134 in SPDCL, 135 in EPDCL and 60 in CPDCL). One pending contribution of AEE has also been announced for Southern DISCOM.

In a press release, Power Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar said the recruitment was aimed at filling critical vacancies in engineering cadres and increasing operational efficiency in power generation, transmission and distribution organizations.

SPDCL would employ 124 AEEs in the electrical wing and six and four in the civil and telecom branches, respectively, for which applications have to be submitted from June 30 to July 27. CPDCL would recruit 56 AEEs in the electrical wing and three and one each in the civil and telecom branches.

Genco would employ 80 AEEs in the electrical, mechanical and electronic sectors and 20 in the civil engineering wing. Transco would employ 167 AEEs in the power sector and 23 and 10 in the civil and telecom wings, respectively. EPDCL would employ 128 AEEs in the power sector and four and three in the civil and telecom wings respectively.
