Officials of the Medical and Health Department are preparing to start a fortnightly campaign-“Spast Nari, Sashact Pariwar Abhiyan” -OD 17. To October 2. Aimed at strengthening medical services provided by women and children, especially in rural areas.
The District Medical and Health Officer (DM&M) DT Sudharani said that nearly 600 health camps would be carried out in Chittoor District in the Chittoor district. The drive would see the participation of all primary and city health centers, village clinics, community health centers and hospitals.
DM & HI said that the campaign would focus mainly on cancer screening and TB, detection of anemia, maternity and childcare, vaccination, menstrual hygiene and awareness of government schemes such as ABHA ID, PMJAY and PMMVY. “Patients who require advanced diagnosis and medical treatment or surgery will be referred to higher institutions,” Dr. Sudharani.
