To ensure a safe and hygienic approach to a hygienic approach for those who have individual household toilets in rural areas, the Karnataka rural infrastructure Development Limited (Kridl) is set to establish toilets for hi-tech exclusively for women in 60 villages in the Bidar district. One such model of the Hi-Tech toilet was built in the village of Chatnalli in Bidar Taluk.
Each community toilet unit includes 11 toilets-10 toilets in Indian style and one Western style-TA marked for individuals with disabilities. The Karnataka government assigned £ 25 to the construction of each hi-tech community toilet unit.
The district approved 60 such hi-tech female community toilets-16 units in Bhallki Taluk, 13 in Basavakalyan, 10 in Bidar Taluk, 7 in Kamalanagar, 6 in Humnabad, 4 in Chit Bugppa and 2 in Aurad and Hulsur Taluks, Girish Badole, CEO of Bidar Zilla Panchayat.
This modern and scientifically designed toilet for the female community has a waste of waste for fertilizer production. It is equipped with water supply and electricity. A inverter system was installed to ensure safe and comfortable use of the toilets at night.
Hi-tech toilet unit has two sinks. Outside the toilet for washing clothes were built two works platforms.
The toilet covers 600 square feet in the main location, relatively safer and easy to reach women. The unit will soon be handed over to Gram Panchayat and worthy for public use, said Abhishek Pola, engineer in Kridl.
Community public toilets in rural areas can directly help reduce the risk of snake and drowning deaths. Executive officer Panchayat, who quoted an example of the recent death girl in the village of Mannalli for Snakebite, said the risk of meeting snakes or tight can be reduced by supporting better hygiene and discouraging open defecation. In addition, such hygiene devices can improve hygiene and health. “Community toilets in rural areas often cannot be used efficiently due to lack of water equipment, but the toilets for Hi-Tech Community will have sufficient water supply via the connection under the Jal Jeevan mission,” Patil added.
In addition to the establishment of toilets on hi-tech community toilets, Zilla Panchayat organizes awareness of the importance of using the toilets in the community between villagers through activity, education and communication (IEC), says IEC Satyajet Nidodakar coordinator.
People in rural areas show interest in the construction of individual toilet facilities based on Swachh Bharat. From now on Zilla Panchayat has received 9,412 applications for each toilet, of which 6,778 were approved while the rest is in the process, he said.
