
Revision of the voters’ list for the Northeast Teacher’s constituency in the Karnataka Legislative Council began on November 1, 2025 set as a qualifying date. Voters can submit applications to include their names in election roles by November 6, said deputy Commissioner Fouzia Taranum, who is also an assistant to the electoral registration and assistant of the returning official for the election district.
As part of the schedule, the design of the election role will be published on November 25 and objections can be filed until 10 December. The last election role will be published on December 30, 2025, Mrs. Taranum said.
The Regional Commissioner, the Kalaburagi division, was intended as an election registration officer for the constituency, while the representatives of the Kalaburagi district will be Commissioner Kalaburagi City Corporation, the assistant of the Kalaburagi and Sedam Commissioners and Tahsildars of all the movements of the assistant commissioners. These offices may be submitted to requests and objections in the prescribed period.
Applications sent by post will be amused, but these applicants will have to appear before the announced officer before the notified official. If the applicant does not participate in hearing or does not provide documents, the application will be rejected. Even those who have already been in an election role must be reused using form 19.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible, a person must be an Indian citizen, usually resident in the election district, and was involved in the class at least at least secondary level at a recognized educational institution in the state for the last six years of September 1, 2025.
Mass applications will not be accepted. However, the head of the institution may submit their employees to their employee to an election official. Members of the family may submit to each other, but incorrect information calls on a criminal action under Section 31 of the 1950s Act, Mrs. Taranum warned.
She called on teachers to actively register, urged them to strengthen democratic processes by ensuring their participation in the election roles of the teachers’ constituencies.
