President Droubadi Murmu was awarded by six Kirti Chakras and 33 Shaurya Chakras staff from the armed forces, central armed police forces and the state and trade union of the police on Thursday in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Four of Kirti Chakras and Seven of Shaurya Chakras were distributed posthumously.
“The bravery award was devoted to the staff for manifesting raw courage, unrivaled bravery and complete ignoring personal security in a number of duties,” the Defense Ministry said.
Surgery against terror
They were honored for bravery exposed to various operations related to anti -terrorry and counteristry in Jammu and Kashmir and northeast, the statement said. “During these operations, the dreaded terrorists were neutralized and detained and weapons and ammunition were obtained.”
The Navy awarded operations against piracy, resulting in pirate surgery and rescue hostage, and at the same time demonstrated bravery during firefighting operations on the burning oil tanker, and the ministry stated on the award presented for Navy operations in the Gulf and Arabian Sea based on global transmission and piping.
The award from the Indian Air Force showed the highest courage in the circumstances threatening life during the rescue of aircraft by preventing maneuvering from civilian areas from preventing any loss of life/property.
