The state government and the district administration are fully prepared to face any eventuality during the monsoon season, said income minister K. Rajan. On Friday, the flood camp was visited by a flood established at the Neduzha Government Polytechnic University and assessed the situation.
“The government has already identified about 5,000 seats for potential auxiliary camps after consultation with income and local self -governing departments to deal with emergency situations,” the Minister said during the visit.
After heavy water in low -laid areas such as Mullaykal Thuruth and Mallithara in divisions 43 and 44 Nondufuzha, the affected families were moved to the camp. At present, 66 individuals from 18 families are protected.
Base
Mr. Rajan entrusted the village officer and Tahsildar responsibility for ensuring that all the basic facilities were available in the camp. He also ordered officials to help those who need medical attention and facilitate their approach to a disaster assistance fund.
Together with the Minister of Higher Education R. Binda and the District Collector Arjun Pandian, he also visited a flood relief camp, which worked on Samajam School in Eathatrinja to assess the effort for help.
30 families
The camp, which started operation of 16 June after heavy rain, is currently hiding around 30 families from the department 1, 3, 4, 12 and 14 Padiyoor Grama Panchayat.
Currently, 28 embossed camps operate in various parts of the district. In total, 1,506 people out of 549 families were moved to these camps.
