During September 2025, a total of 51 children (39 boys and 12 girls) saved the forces of rail protection (RPF) and helped them meet their parents in Nanhe Fashhth operation again.
According to a press release published by South Western Railway, these children were separated from their families for various reasons, and RPF worked tirelessly on their rescuers before passing them to the competent authorities for their finding with their parents.
In addition to September, RPF did various operations to ensure the safety, security and comfort of passengers, while helping Indian railways to provide reliable transport services for its customers.
There were six older persons (one man and five women) under dignity who needed care and protection, rescued and handed over to their families or non -governmental organizations after proper verification.
According to Meri Saheli initiative, RPF staff ensured safe travel for passengers with individual and accompanying.
Details of their seat and beds were shared with RPF Station teams for monitoring and assistance, and feedback was collected at target stations.
Currently, 32 trains under the southwestern railway are covered as part of the initiative.
As part of the UPLABDH Operation Against Touts, intensive inspections were carried out at various travel agencies and places across Karnataka and Goa.
During these units, in 35 cases, according to Section 143 of the Railway Act, 46 touts were detained. A total of 96 live tickets were confiscated worth 1.19 956.85 and 140 tickets used worth 2 02 045.95 GBP.
As part of the Satark operation, RPF found nine liqueur cases and renewed 168 bottles (170,010 liters) worth 86,833 GBP, which were handed over to the excise duty department.
Seven cases were found in the Operation Narco, resulting in a 53.958 kg of Ganja worth 41.26 GBP Lakh and the arrest of two perpetrators who were handed over to the GRP/excise tax authorities for further steps.
Quick response
On 66 occasions, the RPF staff restored incorrectly placed or left items such as laptops, mobile phones, ornaments and other personal belongings worth 17.33 153 GBP and returned them to justified owners/passengers.
As part of the Yatri Surraksha Operation, the thief was detained by a crime detection team (CPDS) and gave GRP in Davangere.
Stolen mobile phones worth 15,899 GBP were obtained from the accused.
In addition, this was an average of 32-35 express and special trains daily with the 85-90 RPF staff in the entire zone, ensuring continuous vigilance and passenger safety.
RPF registered nine cases and arrested 14 perpetrators, recovering stolen railway assets worth £ 1,66,247 from the total stolen property worth 1,32,014 GBP, said.
