Post on X (formerly Twitter) asked if £50 Lakh per year (LPA) has become new £25 LPA in Bengaluru’s flourishing IT sector has become viral and provokes a lively discussion among technology professionals.
“I have heard that so many people earning 50lpa in the Bangalore IT sector. Either they report inflated CTC or 50lpa is a new 25lpa. Can some technicians confirm?” He wrote the user of Souravta and triggered a wave of answers.
Some users claimed that Ia £50 LPA salary does not stretch far in the city of high -speed technological environment. “50l is a new 10l. Most earn 1 CR +++,” one user said. Another dealt with: “If you don’t earn 1 CR ++ in Bengalur, then it’s a waste of time. Better to pack and leave.”
But not everyone agreed. Several users have questioned generalization and asked for a clarity of the comparison. “Should you have a basic line, compare 50lpa with 10lpa since 2005, 2015 or 2020?” One comment read.
Others acknowledged that the level of the salary increased, but pointed out that such packages are usually reserved for top talents. “In a way, yes, but only for top professionals,” said one answer.
The conversation also emphasized regional differences in remuneration in Indian technology centers. “Only Bengalur’s things. In Hyderabad, 25l is still 25 liters. Most people earn less than that,” said one user, suggesting that Bengaluru’s Platt may seem inflated but come up with the strings connected.
A self -appointed technical worker has joined the structure of such high compensatory packages. “Microsoft offers 50LPA, but only 16l is a basic salary. The rest are RSU (limited storage units) entrusted in 3-4 years,” they explained. The user noted that the actual monthly household reward could be as low as £1.2 Lakh, depending on the performance of inventory and the drying plan.
The technical workforce of Bengalur will hit 1 million
Meanwhile, the status of Bengalur with a global technological powerhouse is still growing. According to the newly released Global Tech Talent Guidebook 2025, CBRE has exceeded 1 million technology workforce, making it the largest technological talent in the Asian-Tichoral region.
The report, as the PTI press agency quoted, places Bengaluru along with global technology giants such as San Francisco, New York and London, and further consolidate their role as a leading goal for IT talent.
