Fifty -year -old Secretary of the CPI (M) branch was after arrest in the case of an alleged repeated sexual assault on his sister -in -law, a 58 -year -old woman. The alleged attacks were allegedly held in 2022 within the AMBalathara police station.
According to the police, the accused raped her wife twice after her husband’s death moved to a house near her sister’s residence. Although he hesitated with a complaint at first, he feared social stigma, the survivor filed a complaint after the accused allegedly annoyed her, except that he threatened her.
On the basis of her statement, the police registered the case according to Section 376 (a). N) Bharatiya nyaya Sanhita. The accused was arrested a few days ago and made in a court that filed him.
The defendant was the secretary of the Pullur-Periya branch of CPI (m).
Meanwhile, the party’s leadership said the accused was removed from all positions of the party.
