A 5.81-magnitude earthquake hit the Philippines’ Mindanao on Monday (local time), the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) said.
The earthquake comes days after two powerful earthquakes in Venezuela that left over 3,000 dead.
The Philippines’ seismological agency Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks were expected from the offshore tremors, Reuters reported.
According to the GFZ report, the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 mi).
