In Telangana, 5,663 liqueur applications have been received for 2,620 alcohol stores.
The Commissioner for Exclusions C. Harikiran monitors this process and ordered officials to set up other counters in the Rangareddy, Hyderabad and common districts to ensure a smooth experience for the candidate.
Over the past two years, the ministry has received 1,32 lakh applications, this year officials expect the number to exceed the previous records, with considerable interest from traders in neighboring countries such as Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
According to information shared by the Ministry since October 12, 671 applications for shops dedicated to the GOUD community, 202 for SC, which deserved shops, 84 for stores preserved by ST and 46 in the general category have been adopted.
District, Rangareddy leads with 2,353 applications, followed by Hyderabad (746), Nalgonda (568), Medak (411), Karimnagar (392), Khammam (260), Mahabubnagar (278), Warangal (258), Nizamabad (142).
