5.52 lakh SIR enumeration forms digitized in Chamarajanagar

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Chamarajanagar district is progressing steadily, according to the district administration, 5,52,567 census forms have been digitized so far.

Booth Level Officers (BLOs) completed the door-to-door distribution of enumeration forms to all the 8,80,224 registered voters in the district. The exercise is carried out by 983 BLO.

Progress in constituencies

In Hanur Assembly constituency, enumeration forms have been issued by 254 BLOs to all 2,24,616 voters, with 1,41,209 forms being digitized so far. In Kollegal Assembly Constituency 241, BLO distributed forms to all 2,21,151 voters, out of which 1,41,153 forms were digitized. In Chamarajanagar Assembly constituency, 239 BLOs covered all 2,17,852 voters, with 1,34,872 forms digitized. In Gundlupet Assembly constituency 249, the BLO has distributed forms to all 2,16,605 voters out of which 1,35,333 forms have been digitized, the report said.

The district administration has also identified 24,163 voters who require further verification due to absence, migration, death or duplicate registration. These include 3,169 in Hanur, 10,652 in Kollegal, 7,074 in Chamarajanagar and 3,268 in Gundlupet Assembly constituencies, the deputy commissioner said in a report.
