Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Minister Satya Kumar Yadav on Wednesday gave approval for conducting 47 medical tests on people found in surveys to have lifestyle-related diseases or at risk of developing them.
According to a ministry press release on Wednesday, 56,40,000 people were identified with various types of diseases in the recent non-communicable diseases (NCD) survey. In addition to them, the number also includes students of social welfare residential schools.
