
The food security department has asked 45 food business companies selling Shawarma to close the trade for violations of special instructions that should be observed for Shawarma’s production units.
A total of 1,557 units of the seller Shawarma was explored throughout the State 5 and 6 August Officials for Food Safety. 256 units were filed and another 263 announcement was issued.
Strict measures would be taken against food companies that do not follow special instructions for Shawarma units issued by the Wing for Food Safety, the health department said here in its statement, here, here, here,
Units for Shawarma production in the State are mandatory prevented from serving mayonnaise made of raw eggs together with Shawarm. The instructions also indicate hygiene to be maintained with the cone of the Shawarma, the table and the space where it is carried out. Food should also contain the exact date and time when the item was created.
All food companies should have the license and registration of FSSAI. All food service in these stores should also have health certificates.
