13. The annual convening of the University of Vijayanagara Sri Krishhnadevaraya is scheduled for Thursday at 11 am at the Open-Air Theater on the campus.
Three eminants from different fields, Vunsundhara Bhupath, Bavihalli Naganagoud and Irfan Razack, will be announced on Wednesday by an honorary physician.
Prof. Muniraja, who addressed Prespersons at the University building on the outskirts of Ballari, said Governor and Chancellor Thaawwarchand Gehlot presides.
Director, inter-universe Accelerator Center, new Delhi, Avinash Chandra Pandey will deliver the convening address. Minister for Higher Education and Chancellor MC Sudhakar will be present.
The Syndicate and Academic Council, the C. Nagaraju registrar, the NM Sali registrar, the Dean, the heads, directors of associated universities, teaching and non -employed employees and students, will participate in convening.
Medal
During convening, 42 university and postgraduate students will receive 51 gold medals, while 59 research scientists will be awarded doctoral titles. A total of 155 students, 80 from college courses and 75 from postgraduate programs will receive certificates.
Among the winners of the Hamsa N. Store Medal, he wrapped four gold medals, while a student of industrial chemistry Rajeshwari receives three gold medals. Up to five students, Manoj (physics), Suhana Tasleem (Chemistry), Shilpa (Social Work, Nandihalli PG Center), Vishnupriya (B.com, BBC College) and Mohammed Naqeeb Ali (B.SC, Veerashaiva College) will receive two medals.
Prof. Muniraja said in the academic year 2023-24 completed 19,179 students of university education, while 1,845 students successfully cleaned postgraduate exams.
Honest doctorate
This year, the university will award an honorary doctorate about the doctor, writer and social worker Vasundhara Bhupathi, teacher and industrialist Bavihalli Naganagoud and entrepreneurs of real estate and philanthrop Irfan Razack.
Dr. Bhopati, born in Raichur, combined her work as a doctor with a fertile contribution to literature, social service and strengthening the position of women. More than 65 health awareness books are authorized, many of which have been translated into English and Hindi. She has won several awards for her contribution.
Mr. Naganagouda, an important industrialist from the mining area, contributed to education, health and cultural activities through the BKG Foundation, in addition to the support of the renovation of the temple and social care projects. He was awarded by Kannada Shri and Sevaratna.
Mr. Razack, based in Bengalur, is the founder of the prestigious group and was recognized at the national and international level for his contribution to business, philanthropy, education, health and environmental protection. He received the Rajyotsava Award and several national and international awards.
