Delhi MSW Solutions Limited, a private supplier on which conservato works in zones in (Royapuram) and VI (Thiru. VI. Ka. Nagar) Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), on Monday reported on Madras the High Court that released letters to 821 Self Group (SHG) work.
Senior Counsel Vijay Narayan, who appeared in front of the divisional bench of Justice Mrs. Ramesh and R. Sakthivel, said his client requires 3,809 workers to preserve and hired 2,688 himself. She also issued appointment letters to SHG workers who served under the corporation before working with effect from 19 July 2025 with effectiveness.
“Unfortunately, only 421 SHG members reported work, while 400 did not take their appointment letters,” said the head of the advisor. He also explained the difficulties facing a solid waste management due to lack of labor. The lawyer General PS Raman, representing GCC, was afraid of greater problems during the upcoming monsoon season.
After both heard, the judges awarded the time until October 27 for Urimai Iyakkam, the organization representing the staff of Conservance SHG to respond to the complaint of workers who did not report to work. Orders were taken to appeal against the registration filed against the rejection of a single judge to interfere with the decision of the GCC outsourcing work for preservation in two zones.
Previously, Mr. Narayan told the court that outsourcing work on nature protection was not something new and a few years ago, a few years ago, a few years ago work in most of the 15 zones. Delhi MSW Solutions did work in three of these zones and Sumeet Urbaser concluded a contract for other zones. When the work was outsourced this year for zones in and VI, the company agreed to absorb existing SHG staff.
However, workers began to protest and also raised an industrial dispute. At the same time, a written petition has been submitted to question the GCC decision on outsourcing of preservation operations. Justice K. Surender destroyed the petition in August this year with GCC to organize negotiations with MSW solutions and ensured that absorbed workers were paid by the minimum wage.
In accordance with this, GCC approved the order of 28 August 2025 by directing the Delhi MSW solution to pay a minimum wage of 761 GBP per day to all SHG workers until the dispute is liquidated. The Company accepted the order and issued the appointment letters to 821 to the SHG workers. Despite the letters of 400 of them, it was not due to work that caused huge tension for everyday operations of the company, said the head of the advisor.
