Six people, including four militants belonging to forbidden clothing, from different parts of the manipure, arrested on Wednesday (April 23, 2025).
“The active militant of the Communist Party Kangleipak (Nongdrenkhomba) was arrested on Tuesday (April 22, 2025) from the Lamphel supermarket in the Imphal West district.
On Tuesday (April 22, 2025), the cadre was also charged with the thongkhong cadre in the Imphal East District.
“Another KCP (PWG) that was involved in blackmail in the Imphal area and was charged around him from the Kekrupat in the Imphal West district. He was identified as Longjam Tony Singh (37),” the officer said.
On Tuesday (April 22, 2025), an active cadre of the forbidden channel Ngana Lup (Sorepa) was also detained. He was identified as LaShram Nongdamba Singh alias Lanleiba (25).
The police also arrested two members of the radical clothing Arambai Tengol from the Jiribam district on Tuesday (April 22, 2025) for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping of the person from Assam Cachar. They were identified as RK Khomdonsana (32) and Lourembam Thoiba alias Jackson (20), both inhabitants of the Jiribam district.
