Banks and financial institutions
Most main banks – including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, PNC, Citibank, Truist, JPMorgan Chase and Capital One – will be closed on holiday.
Postal offices and mail delivery
All USPS offices will be closed on July 4. Only Mail Express priorities will continue to operate as usual.
UPS: No pickup or delivery services. Some UPS stores can close or shorten hours.
FedEx: Most services are suspended with modified hours in FedEx office.
Urgent consignments can be arranged via Critics Ups Express Critical, which operates 365 days a year.
Stock market
US Exchange US Stock Exchange will follow the holiday:
Nasdaq and Nys will close early at 13:00 et on Thursday, July 3.
Markets will remain fully closed on Friday 4th July.
The American bond market will also close soon 3 July and will remain closed on holiday.
Grocery stores and retail stores
Many retailers will remain open even if the clock may vary:
Walmart: Open 6:00 – 11:00
Target: Open (check the local clock).
Sam’s Club: Open with limited hours (plus members from 8:00 to 18:00, club members from 10:00 to 18:00).
Home Depot and Lowe’s: Open, with modified closure times.
Macy’s, Kohl’s, Ikea, Petco, Petsmart: Open regular hours.
Burlington, Nordstrom: The clock differs according to the place.
Restaurants and cafes
Most restaurants will work, but some are closed soon or will adjust the clocks:
McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel: General open – Confirm locally.
Starbucks, Dunkin ‘, Chick-Fil-A, Olive Garden, Jimmy John’s, Grill Bonefish: The clock differs according to the location.
Chipotle: Most places will close early at 3 pm
Ish, Firehouse Subs, Whaburger, Hooters: Open regular hours.

US Independence Day: July 4
The Independence Day, celebrated every 4 July in the United States, imagines the anniversary of the declaration of independence in 1776. On this date, the continental congress declared 13 US colonies without the British government. Before independence, these colonies were controlled by the British Crown and Parliament, which imposed taxes and laws that supported increasing indignation. The desire for self -government led to the American Revolution and finally the foundation of a new nation.
