In the house of the Devasthanam village near the town of Vaniyambadi in Tirupout on Wednesday, gold jewelry weighing 39 rulers and silver objects were found.
The police said V. Shanmuga Ganesan, a leading advocate, lives with his family, including children, in the village.
The initial investigation revealed that Mr. Ganesan plans to visit the function in this area. He and his family members stored some of the gold jewelry in the Puja room in the house.
When he was looking for a few gold jewelry worn for this event, Mr. Ganesan found 39 monarchs of gold jewelry and several silver cells that were missing in the room.
He subsequently filed a complaint against the police Vaniyambadi Taluk. Police analyze CCTV shots on the route.
