
During the first six months of 2025, a total of 1,822 traffic accidents were reported in the Commissioner Rachakond, resulting in 363 deaths and 1,657 people injured.
While the overall accident data is slightly higher than last year, the increase in self -governing accidents caused mainly by ruthless, drunken rides and not using the helmet, said Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu.
The number of himself, this year, jumped up to 140 cases, killed 112 people and injured 45. In the same period last year, 96 accidents with their own slide remained 77 dead and 53 injured. The officer said most of them were two -wheel accidents, most of which did not wear helmets. In particular, compliance with rural laws was described as “abysmal”. In 2023, the number of accidents was 94 with 63 deaths.
Rachakond’s traffic police said they began to promote an immediate remedial approach, where the two -wheel riders who were caught without a helmet would be asked to buy and wear one on the spot. This says it is aimed at reducing head injury and instilling permanent change in behavior.
The enforcement is reinforced at the main intersections and sections susceptible to accidents. Repeated perpetrators face stricter fines. Automated enforcement via the Integrated Operation Management system (ITMS) controlled AI (ITMS) has also been expanded, while intelligent cameras identified and published E-Hallany for violations.
Since January, the Institute for Transport Training (TTI) is carried out by 2,100 educational programs and addresses 69,239 people. These include students, car and cabin drivers and delivery personnel. Survivor accounts and interactive activities for strengthening traffic and safety procedures were at sessions.
Police also use posters, videos, brochures and social media to intensify their message, supported by coordinated efforts from other wings, including law and order, crime, teams and IT cells.
