Each of the 33 districts receives CRORE 1 GBP to obtain basic materials and equipment to minimize life and property damage.
The allocation focuses on strengthening the readiness of the district level by equipping them with key rescue and auxiliary tools, including air ships, life jackets, advanced sirens, public addresses, ropes, gas cutters, shrubs and ladders.
According to the order issued on Saturday, sanctioned funds must be used strictly in accordance with the standards of the Fund for Reaction to Disasters (SDRF). Emphasis is placed on the custom of materials that help in evacuation and efforts to respond to disasters. The district administrations were ordered to avoid suspending these funds to repairs or other departments.
In addition, Aapda Mitra volunteers will be deployed, along with income, police and district fire brigade staff to use the facilities effectively during extraordinary events. As soon as the monsoon period ends, the purchased equipment will be stored at designated fire stations for future use, according to the special main secretary of Arvin Kumar.
