Three police officers were suspended on April 29 after allegations of police harassment surfaced following the death of a student in Dharwad.
A college student, identified as Aditya Myageri, was found dead in his room in Girinagar, Dharwad on April 28. It later emerged that several policemen allegedly harassed him and tried to extort money from him despite having tested negative for drugs during a police raid on April 25. The cops demanded money from the case to clear his name.
