Sri Durga Mallesware Swamy Varla Devasthanam Authorities depicting gold stored, on Monday at the SBI Gandhinagar branch in Vijayawada.
Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam (Kanaka Durga Temple) deposited 29.510 kg of gold decorations at the Golden Monetary branch (GMS) at the Gandhinagar branch. The deposit will receive an annual interest rate of 0.60 %.
According to the executive officer of the temple and the representative of the special level of the Seed Naik, the gold was protected in the strong room for several years, carefully verified and handed over to the banking authorities. According to the prevailing market rate of 9 010 GBP per gram for 22 carat gold, the total estimated value of stored ornaments is approximately 26.58 crore.
The Special Verification Committee supervised the transfer process. The Committee included an officer of jewelry and assistant Commissioner of the Pallam Raju Foundation; Officials from the Vijayawada Foundation. AEOS P. Chandrasekhar, N. Ramesh Babu and MSL Vasa from the Temple; Together with the estate of the Gold D. Shammi temple.
