The weekend special drive of the Cyberabad traffic police ended with reservation of 252 motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol – all of them men.
Operations focused on driving under the influence of alcohol recorded two wheels, which ended with 199 seizures, followed by 43 quads and 10 three rounds. No heavy vehicles were connected.
The highest number of cases came from the Miyapore Traffic Police Station with 44 reservations, while Chevella and Shadnagar stretched to 32 and 23. Most of the perpetrators – 179 individuals – were between the ages of 21 and 40, which is obviously not learning their lesson. Meanwhile, only five cases were booked over the sixties.
Blood alcohol levels (BAC) revealed that 147 drivers worked with BAC levels up to 100 mg/100 ml, 81 with levels between 101 and 300 mg/100 ml and six with levels over 301 mg/100 ml, practically pickled.
All accusations will be submitted before court. Cyberabad traffic police reiterated that any case under the influence of alcohol leading to a fatal accident would attract accusations of section 105 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 (a faulty murder not murdered) with potential prison for up to 10 years and fine.
