Police Alangulam is looking for thieves who stole 1 lakh in cash and gold jewelry worth £ 16.50 from the house of the farmer near Alangulam.
The police said R. Muthukumar (34) of Uchipothai near Oothumalai and his family were gone at the Temple festival on Friday evening. When they returned home after midnight, they found that the thieves took 25 rulers of gold jewelry and 1 lakh in cash.
After Mr. Muthukumar’s complaint with the Oothumalai police station, the police head of S. Aravind and Alangulam, the police representative Gladson Jones visited the place. Fingerprint experts raised samples from the scene of crime.
Further investigations are turned on.
