The Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India (RG&CCI) has asked the state directorate to identify and prepare a list of villages, habitations and sections of the population that are under “threat, intimidation or interference” during this period. ongoing census.
The commissioner asked states to avoid enumerators who may be biased against particular social or religious communities as far as possible as their appointment for field work could prove counterproductive.
