Citizens will receive another opportunity to add their names to election roles before the upcoming local election elections.
The State Election Commission, which announced the revision of the role, said it would publish a proposal on 29 September. The final list will be published on October 25, said the State Commissioner A. Shajahan.
In the next major development of the Commission, it also announced that it will issue all voters “unique numbers”.
The latest roles published on 2 September will be published as a proposal on 29 September. This list had a total of 2,83,12,458 voters, including 1.49,59,235 women, 1 33,52 947 men and 276 transgender voters. The list also contained 2,087 overseas voters.
The proposal is accessible on the website of the Sec.kerala.gov.in Commission, local authorities and villages and taluk.
New names can be added to the list until October 14. Those who reached 18 years of age at the age of January 1, 2025 are eligible to write their names. Login applications (Form 4), Repair (Form 6) and Transposition – Moving voters to another department – (Form 7), can be submitted online via the Commission website.
Applicants will be issued a notice of a computer with the date of hearing. Voters report to 17,337 departments in 941 Gram Panchayats, 3240 departments in 87 municipalities and 421 departments in six corporations. In the Gram Panchayats and the municipalities, the secretaries are election registration officers (ERO). In corporations, other secretaries serve as eros.
The announcement of the local authority for local authorities 2025 is expected to be issued only after the publication of the final voters.
Unique figures will be issued to all 2,83,12,458 to people in the list of voters who will be published as a proposal on 29 September.
Currently, some voters have an epic number of the India Election Commission, while voters who have registered since 2015 have the Unqiue number of the State Election Commission. There are also voters in the list of the State Election Commission who have no number.
The Commission has now decided to issue unique numbers to all voters, said Mr. Shajahan. Voters can use this number for all procedures and questions about voters used for local vote, Shajahan said.
