201 hits cleared in Cyberabad in three zones on 19 September

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Saturday, September 19 removed 201 encroachments on 9.9 km road stretches as part of its ‘Walk-Free’ drive conducted across 16 circles in its three zones | Photo credit: Special arrangement

The goal of the drive was to remove identified obstacles from roads and pedestrian areas to ensure the free movement of pedestrians and other road users. CMC teams carried out enforcement activities in Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur zones.

Quthbullapur zone recorded the highest number of removals with 78 hits removed. Gajularamaram accounted for 26 disposals, followed by Jeedimetla with 15, Medchal and Chintal with 14 each and Kompally with nine.

Kukatpally zone saw 67 moves. Madhapur accounted for the highest number with 35 hits cleared, followed by Kukatpally with 14, Moosapet with nine and Allwyn Colony with nine.

56 hits were cleared in the Serilingampally zone. The highest number of removals in the zone was recorded in Patancher with 23, followed by Ameenpur with 15, Miyapur with 10 and Narsingi with eight.

CMC officials said ground-level monitoring would continue in the cleared sections to prevent encroachments from reoccurring. The selected sections will continue to be dealt with in accordance with the prescribed procedure, the civic body said.
