As many as 57 teams of 200 students participated in the 48-hour national level hackathon organized by Vachana Pitamaha Dr BLDE Institute on Friday and Saturday. PG Halakatti Engineering and Technology College, Vijayapur.
Students showcased their technical skills and innovations. They created several models based on real problems and showed their creativity and technical prowess.
The event was inaugurated by Principal Manjunath P. and Deputy Principal PV Malaji.
Dr. Manjunath said that events like hackathon are beneficial for students in developing their hidden talent and inculcating competitive spirit.
NAIN Coordinator RD Salagar, Professor and Head of Department of Informatics (AIML) Sumangala Biradar, Head of Department of ISE Daneshwari Noola were present on the occasion.
The judges appreciated the innovative solutions of the teams and awarded prizes and certificates to the best.
Students and organizers reported that the program helped students develop entrepreneurship, team spirit and problem-solving skills.
The program was successfully coordinated by Vishwanath Chikkareddy and Somashekar Dhanyal, the report said.
