In a terrible incident, an older woman was seriously injured by two Rottweiler dogs in the area of Rajpur in Dehradun.
The victim, identified as 75 -year -old Kaushalya Devi, resident Kishan Nagar, was attacked by two furious dogs on Sunday morning as she went to the temple near her house as usual.
After her shouting heard, the neighbors came out and somehow saved her from the joints of both dogs. She was rushed to the hospital where her condition is considered critical.
She suffered deep wounds on her head, hands, legs, ear and fractures in two bones and required about 200 stitches.
A case against the owner of the dog NAFEES (40) was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by the Devi’s son Umang Nirwal.
According to the police, it was found during the investigation that NAFEES did not receive a license from the municipal corporation to maintain “dangerous” breeds of dogs.
The NAFEES was taken into custody of the police.
Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh said the police would cooperate with the municipal company to ensure that strict measures were taken against those who maintain “dangerous” breeds of dogs without a license.
In response to complaints about people attacking, some killed, “dangerous breed” dogs, the central government banned import, breeding, buying and selling 23 foreign dogs, including Rottwebrs, Pitbulls and American Bulldogs.
