
Squad Anti-Terorism (ATS) Police Maharashtra detained resident Thane for suspicion of spy for Pakistan, and on Thursday confirmed a higher official. The defendant, whose identity was not published, was employed by an important organization in Mumbai and allegedly became a victim of a sophisticated trap trap operation organized by a Pakistani agent acting as a woman on social media.
According to the clerk, the agent on Facebook was friendly and subsequently shared sensitive information regarding critical installation via WhatsApp between November 2024 and March 2025. This violation of national security came to light after TIP-off, causing the Thane ATS unit to take the individual with two others. While the other two were released after preliminary questions, the primary accused was formally arrested.
The arrest was done according to Section 3 of the Act on Official Secrets, which deals with criminal offenses on espionage, and Section 61 (2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit, dealing with the criminal conspiracy.
Delhi police arrest Kasim for spy activities associated with Pakistan
The special cell of the Police in Delhi was arrested on May 29, Kasima, a 34 -year -old inhabitant of the village of Gangor, Rajasthan.
Kasim is accused of cooperation with Pakistani newsletter (PIOS) by providing sensitive information concerning the installation of the Indian army and government offices.
The investigation revealed that Kasim traveled to Pakistan twice only in August 2024, and again in March 2025-who reportedly met officials from Pakistani Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI).
The Kasim using Indian mobile SIM cards, which some Indian nationals allegedly sent to Pakistan, facilitated communication between Pio and Indian contacts via WhatsApp to extract classified data.
The case came to light after news inputs in September 2024 indicated that Pakistanian agents use Indian mobile numbers for espionage. In connection with these management, the case was registered under the relevant laws and Kasim was taken into custody and placed on police link. Further investigations are underway to dismantle the spy network with Pakistani staff and their Indian co -workers.
In May 2025, Indian security agencies arrested at least 13 individuals suspected of spying for Pakistan, which meant significant interventions against spy activities after April 22 Pahalgam Terrorist attack and subsequent Indian surgery Sindoor.
The arrest was covered by several states, including pandjab, hayana, rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The detainees included a diverse group consisting of YouTuber, security staff, government employees, students, traders and entrepreneurs. Other arrests included an employee of the Government in Rajasthan suspected of spying for Pakistani ISI, the CRPF staff from Delhi on behalf of Moti Ram Jat accused of sharing classified information about national security with Pakistani handlers since 2023 and entrepreneur from UTTAR Pradesh involved in cross -border melting and spying. It was found that several suspects were “imprisoned” or lured through social media, cash incentives and false promises.
