Police will introduce the defendant involved in the theft of cars along with the renewed property in Chittoor on Monday
The Chittoor Municipal Police arrested two people on Monday, the natives of Tirupati, involved in several auto-rikša thefts throughout the district, and won three stolen cars and spare parts worth about 11 Lakh.
The police intensified the investigation after a number of motor vehicles under one and two city police stations within the limits of Chittoor Corporation. Superintendent Police HV Chandol Manicant and SP T. Sainath representative created a special team led by a circular inspector Maleshware to trace the culprits.
The team acted on the tip and arrested in Kondala Adinarayana (38), followed by the arrest of his accomplice Chinnangari Shanmugama (47) of Tirupati. The duo was sent to custody.
