
Two army staff, including Colonel Lieutenant, lost their lives and three more were injured after the vehicle fell on the vehicle in the eastern Ladak on Wednesday, the officials said. The incident occurred around 11:30 in Charbagg near Durbuk in the Galwan area, about 200 km from the light. The vehicle was part of a military convoy moving with a distant area when an accident occurred.
The army identified the deceased as Colonel Bhan Pratap Singh Mankotia and Lance Dafadar Daljit Singh from 14 Sindh Horse Regiment.
Injuries in the incident include Ma Majank Shaubham (14 Sindhův Horse), Maj Amit Dixit and Captain Gaurav (60 armored regiments), the officials added.
“The Pratik Sharma, ArmycDRNC and all northern commands pay tribute to Lieutenant Colonel Bhan Pratap Singh Mankotia and Lance Dafadar Daljit Singh, who has made the highest victim in a number of duties.
“Northern Command stands firmly with the surviving family this hour of grief,” Northern Command said in a post on X
In the earlier contribution, the Fire And Fury Corps said that “One of the vehicles of the military convoy in Ladak, around 1130 hours 30. July 2025, a boulder fell from the cliff.
Officials said five staff suffered critical injuries in an accident involving the SUV of the army.
The convoy was on the training move from Durbuk to Chongtash, saying that he added that the vehicle was poorly mangled under the boulder.
Two staff succumbed to injuries and three other officers were treated, they said.
